For 40 years, LCP has been a women’s tournament built on community, competition, and women supporting women. That history matters deeply to us, and so does creating a space where people feel welcome.
Our community has grown and evolved over the years, and we recognize that looks different today than it did four decades ago. We are committed to honoring the spirit of what LCP has always been while being inclusive of the broader LGBTQ+ community.
LCP will continue to be a women’s tournament, and we are not changing the name or legacy of this event. At the same time, we are not turning people away based on gender identity. All LGBTQ+ are welcome.
We want this tournament to remain rooted in community, respect, and a shared love of softball.
We also want to acknowledge that this is Nancy Zimmer’s final year as Tournament Director after many years of dedication to LCP. Organizing a tournament of this size takes an incredible amount of volunteer effort. We respectfully ask that people allow Nancy to focus on creating a great tournament experience for everyone and refrain from directing personal criticism toward her.
We appreciate thoughtful dialogue and hope everyone can come together around what this tournament has always been about: community, connection, and softball.

40th Annual Women’s Softball Tournament on July 31, August 1 & 2, 2026
What: Lots of women (and their friends) playing and watching softball, building community, supporting each other, working for a great cause, making new friends, re-connecting with old friends, and having a great time in the sunshine.
This year’s 32 team tournament will start Friday afternoon (all teams should be prepared for the possibility of a Friday afternoon game). Initially, there will be nine groups of four teams, playing three games in a round-robin format. Saturday evening the tournament will switch to a modified double-elimination format consisting of 4 divisions. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and MVP trophies for each of the four divisions will be awarded on Sunday.
The games will run from (some at 12:30) 4:30 Friday, from 8:00 am until evening under lights on Saturday, and from 8:00am Championship game to start about 3:00 PM done on Sunday. The awards ceremony will be held when the games are finished (around 4:30pm on Sunday).

DEADLINE: May 29, 2026
The deadline for registration and paperwork is May 29th. Registered teams will receive a confirmation packet around the middle of July (including a round-robin schedule, field locations, rules, etc.)
Each team is GUARANTEED FIVE (5) GAMES!
Who: This tournament is designed to accommodate women’s C, D, E and recreation-level, and upper-level teams. There is a place on the registration sheet to indicate your team’s level of competition. Help us make the tournament fair and fun for everyone, by providing us with the most accurate information possible.
Why: This tournament exists as a celebration of our community and to bring women together to have fun. All proceeds benefit the non-profit chosen. How can you help?
